MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES REGISTERED MEMBERS

(RHI) Registered Members have demonstrated their proficiency by performing no fewer than 250 fee-paid inspections in accordance with the CAHPI Standards of Practices; they have also passed a series of written examinations testing their knowledge of residential construction, inspection techniques, report writing, and the Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics.

(PHI) Provisional Members are working toward completion of 250 fee-paid inspections in accordance with the CAHPI Standards of Practices. PHIs have passed all written examinations testing their knowledge of residential constructrion, inspection techniques; report writing and the standard of practice and Code of Ethics.

(AHI) ApplIcant Members are working toward certification. ApplIcants have not yet passed all written examinations and may be at various stagest in their number of inspection requirements. AHIs are not allowed to advertise their membership or use the CAHPI logo.

National Certificate Holders (NCH) National Certificate Holders have been submitted to rigorous background evaluation and have been tested c/w peer review. They have been deemed competent and are in compliance with the National Certification Program.
